| Respecting Home Rule, this legislation allows local governments to authorize the sale of package beer and wine from grocery stores within 100 yards of a school or school administrative building (which is currently prohibited by law). Grocery stores must have at least 10,000 square feet of floor space and reserve at least 85 percent of their sales to food or other nonalcoholic items. To authorize said beer and wine package sales, counties must pass a resolution or ordinance. |

| This legislation requires drivers, when approaching and then passing a garbage truck, to either move over to a lane not adjacent to the truck or reduce their speed to 10 mph less than the posted speed limit or 25 mph, whichever is more, and be prepared to stop. Violators can be fined up to $250. |

| Aimed at international travelers, this legislation allows alcoholic beverages to be sold from 5:00 a.m. until midnight on Sundays in "sterile" areas of airports that are owned or operated by a city or county. Sterile means past a security check point. |

| This legislation allows counties, by resolution or ordinance, to allow the on-premise sale of alcohol on Sundays starting at 10:30 a.m. if the county already has approved on-premise consumption of alcohol. Additionally, this legislation expands the times on Sundays that farm wineries may sell wine for on-premise consumption. |

| This legislation expands Level 1 Freeport by including stock of a fulfillment center. These centers are defined as business locations which pack, ship, or store property sold by remote means such as the Internet. The stock must actually be shipped to the customer from a location other than the location of the fulfillment center in order to qualify. To add this new exemption, the Board of Commissioners must vote to place it on a local referendum and it must pass by a majority vote. |

| This legislation changes the requirements for companies to qualify for job tax credits in less developed areas and in tier one counties. Instead of requiring the average wage of the new jobs created to be above the average wage of the county that has the lowest average wage of any county in the state, each new job created will be required to be above the average wage of the county that has the lowest average wage of any county in the state. This bill was amended to include the language from H.B. 828 which provides for a job tax credit for employers who hire parolees. Eligible employers must meet a strict criteria and meet all of the rules and regulations adopted by the Department of Revenue in order to qualify for the tax credits. |

| The current House substitute to this bill (LC 34 4851S) expands the ad valorem tax exemption for property of nonprofit homes for the mentally disabled by allowing indirect ownership through certain for profit entities such as a limited liability company or limited partnership.
